  1. I have a simple solution to prevent overwatering, keeping the container reasonably small is a good start. Then always try and use the same size cup to raise all your seedlings in. So what you do is weigh your cup when filling them with your growing medium trying to get them all the same weight. Now after adding your seedlings place the cup on the scale and add your water, 30ml per cup plus minus. All your cups now weigh the same and have equal amounts of water. If you think you need to water them in a couple of days just place them on the scale to see how much water has been lost. If you add water bring it back up to the weight it was after your first watering. As your plants grow you will and use the water you added to quickly, increase the amount of water.

  2. How do you repair overwatering. I got seedlings almost 2 weeks. Their stems became stretched, so I got a better light systems but now they flopping or dropping over. 1/2 are in solo cups and some in stirafoam. Should I transplant them in new larger pots? Newbie here.

  3. Outstanding! Very informative.
An experienced grower knows that plants need c02 and the roots need oxygen. Over water it and you essentially drown your plant.

The good thing, however, is like children young cannabis plants are incredibly resilient. If you do over water your plant and she's showing signs of yellowing, NOT RUSTING, little yellow spots on the inside of the leaves there are three things I've found work the best.

    1) probably the easiest for novice:
Simply repot your plant in a larger container and fill with dirt. DO NOT WATER FOR AT LEAST three days.
    2) c02 induction: here's where years of experience comes in handy. Buy a 5 lb c02 tank and get it filled. Turn on the tank a quarter turn; count to 5; turn the tank off and close the room. NOTE: c02 should only be added when the plant is photosynthesizing.
    3) get a drill with a small drill bit or a thumbtack and start aerating your container by creating holes below where you think the root ball is. Thats stops water from collecting and pooling.

Hope this helps and consider me subbed.
